I love the coal oven pizza at the original Luzzo's on 1st Ave. so, end of business Tuesday, I excitedly headed over to eat at this new offshoot . I left disappointed.
We arrived at 7 PM and were seated immediately. The restaurant was maybe 1/2 full. Everyone was welcoming. Our server was friendly and attentive. All good! I'm ready to eat...
We split a 12" Bufala pizza that was ok, not bad, but just ok - nothing like the pies at the original. At $17 for a 12" pie, I expect true yumminess.
My mixed green salad w/balsamic vinegar was underdressed and the cherry tomatoes were actually bitter ($7). My friend had an arugula salad ($9) that she said was ok.
We didn't bother with dessert.
Too bad - I won't bother going back.
