Luzzo's

Tried delivery last night. Delivery took an hour plus, but after some googling, I learned that the restaurant had apparently been on Martha Stewart on Friday, February 10 and has been mobbed ever since. I forgave any slow-paced delivery for that reason.

They have a coal oven that they grandfathered in and you can taste it -- there's a great charred flavor and black blisters along the perimeter of the pie. Was disappointed, however, that the margherita I ordered, despite being topped with creamy, high quality fresh mozzarella, was devoid of torn fresh basil. This resulted in an unfortunate lack of dimension of flavor.

I'd definitely go in person to eat a pie straight from the oven.

I'm interested to hear other 'hound opinions on Luzzo's...
