There was a bit of inflation going on, so the 3 course lunch is now $20.99, and I believe
Sylvia G referred to it as a 4 course lunch for $18.99 on 3/22/11. Well worth the price!
The food was absolutely delicious; the service flawless, and my guest and I enjoyed our
meal. The Soup of the day was a Maryland crab/fish, served hot, very tasty. Friend's starter
was a beautifully composed and dressed salad. Fish of the day was Chilean sea bass with broccoli rabe. My guest chose a medium rare Strip Steak with pink peppercorn sauce, and enjoyed it thoroughy. We share a 'half and half': a yummy order of home fried potato chips and thin onion rings--sinful, but fab.
Good to go with a friend: dessert was a choice of flourless chocolate cake or key lime pie; so
we got to have half of each. My cup of coffee added $3.95 to the tab, but I can't say that I
I have to admit I expected more of the decor. There wasn't any. It was a clubby dark kind
of place to see and be seen I guess, but we came to eat...It was fairly crowded in the main
dining room, and the noise level was higher there than in the small side room which wasn't
as crowded. So, noise could be a problem.
But, for me the only reason I won't be going back next week with another friend is the parking
situation. I should have taken the bus: the garage was full, so no $7 discounted parking.
We did find $10 parking 3 blocks up Broad Street, but that would be too far for my other friend
to walk, so I'm going to find another destination next week. other than that, I would enjoy
going back. Quite a lunch.
