Wanted: Excellent places for lunch that not only serve great food, but a room that takes full advantage of the weather (ie. the more windows the better).
Something along the lines of: Aquavit and Jean-Georges Nougatine. Well lit rooms that allow the sun to stream into the dining room and excel at accomadating vegetarians.
Avoid things along the lines of: Le Cirque (jacket AND tie required for lunch...c'mon), Cafe Boulud (although great for vegetarians, a little too stuffy...but man, that chocolate souffle with pistachio ice cream).
Currently thinking: Bouley. Have not been back since it switched back from Bouley Bakery. They said they could whip up something vegetarian.
Any better suggestions?
