Lunch at Guelagetza

Had lunch Sunday at Guelagetza at Palms and Sepulveda ( I know the others are better). I always get the Goat taco and some type of Tamale. I decided to try something new. I started with the Tortilla Soup. I expected a watery soup but it was really thick and rich with freshly fried toritlla pieces in it. It was really a meal. It tasted alot like the sauce that they use on the Ribs. Very tomatoey, very tasty. Next I tried a Torta of Chorizo. It was a huge Bolillo roll, smeared with black bean paste, dressed with mayo, lettuce, onion, and tomato. It was served with decent fries. It was very tasty and so big it was impossible to eat with your hands. It was way too much food but both items were a total of $8.00. I may work my way through the other 4 Tortas on the menu...Cecina, Tasajo, Milanesa, and Chile Relleno.
