Lucques: had my 1st soso meal there last night

Had one of each mains offered - Ms. Goin was not @ the helm and it really showed last night– this has to be the first off meal I can remember there, really strange – taste of salad was good, but over-dressed and super small portions - mains were totally un-integrated, the backups on the plates did not work and were over seasoned – most of the chicken dish was dark meat, sucked, and the and plate was swimming with olive oil, not good– the piece of fish was nice, but the accompaniment was too heavy and overpowering – the desert was fine, but nothing special, something that you could pick up @ Le Marmiton for a few bucks, Best part of the meal was the while burgundy I brought.

alaskan halibut with tomato-potato gratin,
black olives, toasted breadcrumbs and basil
or
grilled jidori chicken with baked ricotta,
young mustard greens and salsa di salmorigano

dessert warm plum and almond torta
with vanilla ice cream

35 dollars per person
