My husband and I enjoyed a lovely anniversary dinner at Sociale in San Francisco recently. The dinner was quite tasty. We had the Duck Meatballs (hearty and rich, very tasty) and Bone Marrow appetizers (weakest dish of the entire meal). Then we had the Ribeye Steak (quality cut of meat cooked perfectly) and the Wild Boar Pici pasta (just heaven) as our entrees. We shared the Jasmine & Cassis Sorbet (fragrant and lovely) for dessert.
But what made the meal was the entire experience. The service was exceptionally accomodating and not the least bit pretentious. The setting was enchanting as we sat outside in the patio area, which was lit with little lights. This restaurant is so hidden away it felt intimate and special. And best of all, the neighborhood street parking is a breeze! That alone would bring me back!
I'm surprised this little restaurant doesn't get more attention.
