three new infatuations:
sesame crunch, haymarket pizza, and warm sfogliatelle from napoli pastry. how i ever lived without them is beyond me.
after having a sesame florentine at athan's, i started to look for sesame seeds everywhere. i bought some sesame crunch from dairy fresh in the north end, but today a friend brought my a nice little tub of sesame crunch from chinatown. i think i like this one much better because you get more sesame seed crunch rather than the crispy shattering of the caramel.
as for haymarket pizza, i really like it because it's got a great sauce and a delicious crust. if you had to, you could leave it out and still have a great slice (like i did today at lunch, oops). santarpio's, on the other hand, has a pretty sad crust (after mere hours -- think cardboard) but a tasty sauce. two different pizzas, but haymarket wins (pizzeria regina is on top as well).
after limster's multiple posts about napoli's sfogliatelle, i just had to try a hot one. there's no turning back to the cold ones bakeries sell later in the day. i just have to start waking up earlier, no doubt.
