We went there this past weekend with a few friend to celebrate a birthday. We had already eaten dinner but wanted to stop in for some wine and some desert/ post dinner snacks.
We started off with a bottle an amazing cotes du rhone, that i can not completely remember the exact name. It seems like there are quite a few french red wines on their list, and they had a great selection. This wine was amazingly earthy, with hints of spice and blackberries. I believe it was only 30 dollars, which I thought was incredible. To go with our wine, we ordered the cheese plank, that came with five cheeses, (12 dollars) perfect to share. On the side it came with smoked almonds, aprictos, and figs. We couldn't resist the pig candy, (5 dollars) which our server said was practically dessert. They were right! Really sweet and spicy at the same time. We shared a glass of the banyuls with espresso cookies (6 dollars). the cookies were dark chocolate with hints of espresso that were very light.
The place has a very mellow vibe. Our server was really friendly and really informed about the different wines. It was crowded, but not very loud. This place would be great for a date, as it felt really romantic with all the candles.
Compared to other wine bars that I have been too, this place feels the most sophisticated and mellow. More like a restaurant than a bar.
