I'm surprised no one has responded to Gayla's excellent description of the new market.
It definitely sounds intriguing and I for one am looking forward to an adventure there. Has anyone been to Fauchon's in Paris? Now a branch in New York, imports from all over the world. No telling what this market might expand to if we patronize them.

Sometime ago I asked if anyone had tried 3rd Corner in Ocean Beach. The Lotte (monkfish) was superior.
I also mentioned that someone had highly recommended Pin's Wa in Rancho Santa Fe. Have any of you No. County Chowhounds out that way anything to say about this place?

The Four Season's, Aviara in Carlsbad is reputed to have a fabulous Friday night seafood buffet that is worth the travel. Any comments?

And, any original ideas for the Progressive Dinner?
A couple of good suggestions were, 1) concentrating on Hillcrest and 2) going between Christmas and New Year's when the crowds might be thinner and people don't have as many plans made. Or we could shoot for January?

Do we want a traditional 4 or 5 course dinner?

A Latino or Asian theme?

A variety of appetizers?

And how much do we want to spend on each?

Of course we'd post a choice of restaurants for each course.

Give it some thought and let's hear those original ideas.
