This is the longest of longshots, but we will be visiting family in Torino di Sangro, Abruzzo this week. We'll be landing in Rome and taking the 4 hour drive there right away. Thing is, we will have a toddler and an infant with us (yes, we are indeed insane.) Coming from the US, I'm happy to make pitstops at random Autogrilles, as to me their paninos are pretty darned good. But if you happen to have any not too too out of the way suggestions of little towns with decent restaurants to stop by at to stretch out legs and get a good meal along the way, I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks in advance!
