Lola Tasting Menu Dilema

I recently took everyones advice to go to the Tasting Room @ Lola when I am in Dallas. Im not sure if anyone remembers, but I will be dining alone. Everyone said this will be fine, I will be well taking care of.
I called & made the reservation for 1, for the 16th, and there was no problem. Today I recieved a message to call them back. It was a lady who called ( I did not make my reservation with her originally) and she inquired if it was true I was dining alone. I said yes, and asked if there was a problem with that. She said that the tables were for 4 people, and usually all 4 people have to get the tasting menu. She said the owner didnt want just 1 person at a table b/c they are busy all that weekend. She proceeded to ask me if I was sure I wanted 10 courses, and I said, " It's 15 courses, and yes Im positive."
She said she would talk to the owner and call me back, but shes almost positive he doesnt want any one person in there. The conversation just had a very wierd tone. It was very strange. I told her to talk to the owner, I was refered to Lola by friends, and have worked in the restaurant business for 10 years, and there is nothing I want more to eat good food while I am in Dallas, and I would be more than happy to sit at the bar and have the tasting menu there. She called me back hours later, and told me the owner will put a smaller table in there. That was it. This is soo wierd. Do I still go there ?

Im confused.
