Curiousbaker's post on the Home Cooking Board has convinced me to try to buy a share of meat directly from a farm (thank you Curiousbaker!!). Has anyone tried more than one place or offer bases for comparison?

As a sidenote, one of the places on EatWild mentions their newly-laid eggs for $3/doz, which is a dollar more than the ones at Marino's, which are organic.
