Boston Area Lobster Roll

I'm going to say it: I like the lobster roll at Kingfish Hall better than the roll at Neptunes!

I just had to say it. The last time I was at Neptune, I ordered a cold lobster roll and was disappointed. Too much mayo and the roll was all smooshed. The presentation just wasn't there and the lobster meat itself had been overcooked. Now I know this was probably just a bad night, but when I found myself in the mood for a lobster roll again, I decided to try Kingfish Hall. I didn't have high expectations, but I was really pleased. Their version of a hot dog roll appears to be a roll that was crafted from an individual loaf that had been split down the middle and grilled on each side. The roll itself was perfectly golden and a delightful butter flavor. As for the lobster, the meat was tender, sweet and had just a light coating of mayo. Served with a cone of homemade potato chips, cole slaw and baked beans. No complaints here. I think I'll give Kingfish Hall another try.
