Lil Bistro is a really cool place. The food is great, non-traditional, even. The chef is friendly as can be. Came out and talked to us several times. Sort of like Ali from Kabob Caf.
Pumpkin Soup -- killer. You have to stop by and try this. Shrimp Shumai with chunks of real shrimp. Salmon Tartar -- flavorful but lacking in needed sodium (didn't have nerve to ask for salt).
Skirt Steak with mushroom...excellent, as good as anything at Tournesol Crawfish Entoufee -- rich and enjoyable - finally got the nerve up to ask for salt.
Everything was interesting and tasty. Only issue is a few dishes seemed undersalted...but that's sort of refreshing -- since at most places you end up sodium intoxiated and drinking water all night. Hate that.
Sans Souci? Wasn't impressed with that place (was ok). Tournesol is better. Lil Bistro 33 is closer, in quality, to Tournesol.
I know I know...they're "DIFFERENT" styles -- but that doesn't mean that one isn't better than the other.
