After reading the praises of Tuk Tuk on this site, my wife and I decided to visit the one in LIC. A big mistake!
After so-so spring rolls, and a bland Yum Yum (?) salad, we were underwhelmed with the two entrees; one was a glob of Pad Thai, a few noodles, and under flavored additions, no eggs or peanuts. The other (can't recall the name, good reason too)was another bland vegetable and tofu dish.
The only consolation: Wasn't certain if it was BYOB, so I had a bottle of wine ready in the car. On Wednesdays, the night we were there, no corkage, which is usually $10.00. The wine was excellent. Service was OK. Incidentally, I'm a napkin snob, and the napkins were really puny. For a few bucks they could either get those linen-like ones, or go for the extra $0.25 per person and have real ones.
Highly not recommended by this diner and his wife.
