Had a very good dinner at Le Marais last night. Medallions of beef. Their meat really is outstanding.
Hadn't been in quite a while, the brick walls make it very noisy and I like conversation with my dinner. But I may have been undervaluing it. It is a very convenient way to have a nice meal before a show. And the waiters are very helpful in working things out if you tell them when curtain time is.
But the reason I was writing is the retail meat counter in the front. They have things I don't usually see retail. Breast of duck, duck legs, pâté, chorizo and merguez sausage, not to mention every imaginable cut of beef.
Last night was not the night to bring some home. But I will go back.
