For years I had wanted to try Le Commensal. Hey, they come from Montreal!. I should have kept it a yearning.
Talentless, stingy, overpriced. It gives vegetarian cooking a bad name.
Particular mention of the desserts. Chinese buffet quality.
My coupon was $17 for $35 supposedly for two. But look out for their promos, they are like teh anglerfish's lure. You see, once you get one promo, you can't get anymore. So I didn't get the all you can eat "main" plate, 1 kg max (everything else is extra) special for $16.95, nor the last last hour 20% reduction.
I can't believe that the crap that I got came to $35.75 regular. And this is without a drink and having given back the minestrone soup ($3.50 smallish bowl) as unacceptably incompetent. And there wasn't anything that I had that I liked.
The problem isn't that the operation is cafeteria style.
