had dinner there last saturday night. there were 10 of us so we had one of two private rooms.
service was really slow -- this is a new restaurant so i do think they need time to work out those kinks.
appetizer highlights included:
Flash-Fried Rock Shrimp "Popcorn and Miniature vegetables, Thai basil garlic oil, Peruvian purple potato confetti
We did not fare so well with dinners, with the exception of the people who ordered Grilled Beef Tenderloin. They were very happy.
I had smoked pork belly, pear and sweet potato hash, applejack brown sauce, crisp squash blossoms. It was more like pork loin, of which I am not a huge fan. The sweet potato has was very tasty.
My husband had Farm Fresh Herb Roasted Baby Chicken. It's his own fault for ordering chicken, which he can have anywhere. It wasn't bad, just ordinary.
Three friends had the Seafood "hot pot", which sounded like a dream. Lobster, shrimp, scallops, mussels, baby clams, oven-dried tomatoes, long grain black rice. One person really like it. The other said it was just ok. She thought it was a very small portion [you can order 1/2 portions -- hers was a whole].
i will wait a bit and try it again. i think there is a whole lot of potential here. timing is everything.
