Yesterday afternoon (Friday) I boarded the 22 Fillmore at Mission headed towards Haight right behind a guy that recognized a seated friend halfway down the crowded aisle. I was too tired to push my way further back so I stopped right behind him as they exchanged pleasantries. (Yawn can't this bus move any faster?)
Among all the chatter that I was doing my best to ignore is mention from the friend that she got off work early right after eating lunch at this restaurant.
"How was it ? Really nice but starting to get busy. " I'm offboarding and now I care just enough to note the place but not too nosy to ask on my way out. I know I heard "Latino Cuisine Academy".
I Googled for the info but I couldn't find anything about a Latino cuisine academy or food academy. I know the 22 bus comes from General Hospital up Potrero Street, turns on 16th and passes the old multimedia gulch.
Does anybody know the place, and the right name/address/website? What kind of Latino cuisines, is it more traditional, fusion or Nuevo Latino? Is it worth a visit? Open for dinner?
