Late night -- le Continental or l'Express? And what about Brunoise?

Bill Strzempek | May 27, 2005 12:03 AM

I'll need great food after Charles Aznavour on a Thursday night in Montreal, say around midnight. I'll be dining alone and am an adventurous and appreciative eater and love my pastis and wine and casual vibrant rooms, and don't mind sitting at the bar as long as I'm not the only one there eating. I do NOT want to be around Americans, if possible, I want to meet the locals.

Should I pick Continental or l'Express? Or is there a better option I'm clueless about?

I've also got one other night to eat well in Montreal and I've been thinking Brunoise -- is this not a great idea to book a table there on a busy Friday night?

And any ideas along St. Denis or Mont Royal for a Saturday afternoon farewell meal (NOT Schwartz's, please). How's l'Express on a Saturday afternoon by the way?

Merci beaucoup en avance!
