We ate 3 serious meals in LV in early Feb. All were exceptional. We are experienced travelers in Italy and love Italian food. We just returned from a month in the Lake Como area and thought, overall, the food there was the best we'd ever experienced in Italy. Our dinner at Rao's was better and this was true for every course. We had drinks, wine, appetizers, caprice salad, and pasta. All were exceptional and the service was extra ordinary. The price, about $100 each, seemed reasonable for a meal of this quality, a couple of drinks and a bottle of wine.
We next had lunch at Milo's and the CH accolades were, we felt, well deserved. We had smoked salmon, scallops, salmon and sea bass, plus wlanut cake all for $20 each. What a deal and again, the service was truly exceptional.
Finally, we had dinner off the strip at Nora's Cuisine. Again the food (calimari, tuscan bean soup, carbonara, and veal marsela) was excellent as were the drinks and wine. We really liked the atmosphere (Mafiaesque) and the bread was worth the price of admission. The price was about half what we paid at Raos and the quality wasn't far off that mark.
The food in Vegas was definitely the highlight of our stay there.
