Went to LaFlor the other night for dessert and coffee, mostly dessert since normally their coffee is not very hot and not very good, imo, and they tack on an additional charge for a refill.
Well our desserts, the banana bead prudding and pecan tarts (which we both love by the way) arrived and all the surrounding edges were totally burnt, not crispy as our first rude waitress said. We're normally easy to please but since the crust was completely ruined all around on both desserts(as burnt as toast can be) we politely sent them back. When they returned they were both ice cold and we were explained that it's the fault of the oven and we were advised that due to the oven, it's either "crispy" and warm or ice cold without the burnt crust, these are our choices.
I don't think a restaurant with the loyal patronage it has should have that as the 2 choices on how to receive food, do you?
