I have been a big proponent of Label's Table on Pico for a long time on this board. I recommended them as serving a top-notch pastrami sandwich for a bargain price. And for a very long time it was: Regular deli sandwiches for about $8.50 and a daily special for a buck less.
Then when I was in about a month ago, prices were up to $9.95 (and $8.95). But today I went in and regular sandwiches were up to $11.95. They are now including a small side of industry potato salad or cole slaw, as well as their good pickles. This is no longer a bargain, especially considering the counter service, though their sandwiches are still very good. (I like to order my pastrami or brisket there "fatty" or "moist.")
Just wanted to warn fellow hounds, as I have been touting them so regularly for so long. There is still a Groupon available, which will lessen the hurt quite a bit.
