No animal was harmed whatsoever in this review. I was sad when the Sushi School on Centinela closed. it was a nice place to pick up a reasonable lunch and it's not far from work. Somewhere on the Boards I noted that a place had filled the space, so I went today to check it out. I don't remember the space being that small but it was and the new occupants put wood paneling on the wall.
The Menu is a smorgasbord; from Pancakes to Wraps and "Burgers" to Noodle soups though most of the menu is Thai focused. Plus they have a wide range of Fake meats from Salmon to Chikin to shrimp and beef.
I decided to start off with something simple but it turned out to be one of the most expensive items on the menu. The Pra Ram is Spinach sautéed with Cukes, Red Onion, cashews and Fried tofu with a Thai peanut sauce and a side of Brown rice. there was enough on the plate for two and the dish worked pretty well except for there was a lot of water on the plate from cooking all the veggies. The price was $11 which is odd for something straight forward and almost all of the rest of the dishes are between $5 and $9 which is totally reasonable.
I do want to go back and try some other things on the menu like the "fish" wrap and the mock duck curry and when I do, I'll post.
