There was a thread earlier as to whether there were any California style Islamic Chinese restaurants in New York, but somehow it got hijacked to one of the general boards which I never read. One of my Chinese Islamic favorites is a cold salad made with thick mung bean sheets, chicken, cucumbers and peanut sauce. I found an excellent version of this dish (actually better than anything I had in the LA area) at the restaurant that used to be called Waterfront International, 4009 Prince St. in Flushing. (I forget the new name, though their menus and business cards still say Waterfront International.) Since California Chinese Islamic cuisine is at least in part regional (somewhere in the far north), as is Waterfront International, I'm wondering if some of the other Chinese Islamic dishes might be found there, too.
