A very good place, although not quite equal to its pretensions. Especially the service.
I started with a very good foie gras, the toast was perfect, the maple sauce was perhaps overly sweet.
I didn't taste anyone else's dishes, though a colleague I have dined with before described both his lamb and his risotto as unexciting. And another was delighted by what she described as the best baba ganoush she had ever eaten.
I ordered one of the specials, which the waiter described as mullard, a cross between a duck and a goose. It was delicious. Red with a wonderful umami and texture.
