tia rosa is an el salvadorean restaurant on somerset ave in north plainfield. had lunch there yesterday with some coworkers, and i must say, was quite impressed. i got the plato tipico which consisted of dos huevos, frijoles, chorizo, platanos, and dos pupusas. my colleagues got the plato tradicionales which had carne asada, frijoles y crema, platanos y pupusas. i had the eggs over easy, someone else got scrambled (with tomatoes, it looked awesome). everything was great, i highly recommend it.
btw, i was just at panchito's pupuseria in the san fran mission district last week, and tia rosa's pupusas were just as good, if not better.
ps=> the horchata was good too.
