This listing is just dishes at joints that I like doesn't have to be fine dining. and this might help for travelers to la that want to try a wide variety of eats.

Crab louise or the corned beef hash (lunch only) followed by the greatest ny cheesecake on earth at the Grill on the Alley.

Sushi at Sushi Nozawa.

Chili dogs from Carney's

Spicey Chicago Polish from Rubin's red hots.

Venison w/ foie gras along with the estimable banana split sundae at Boneyard Bistro.

Sushi from Shibucho on Beverly.

Fish tacos from Baja Ensenada on Whittier Blvd.

pumpkin ravioli or duck ravioli followed by great tiramisu at giorgio baldi in malibu.

Dumplings from either DTF, Dumpling House, or Dumpling 10053.

Pastries from either Boule or Jin.

Banana pudding (an exceptional version) from Baby Blues in Venice.

Bay Cities for their great sandwiches.

Big Tummy in Glassell park for their subs. and kebab subs.

Spago for some great desserts.

Attari for a cutlet or great hot dog sandwich on french bread.

Fatburger for their chili burgers.

the great fries (very guilty pleasure) from the Fuddrucker's.

Langer's pastrami sandwich hand-sliced on rye bread.

A great Kansas City strip from Dan Tana's.

Sausages and dogs from Jeff's Gourmet Sausages.

Fred 62 for their great meatloaf.

Sandwiches and banana cream pie, and some of the cupcakes at Clementine.

French dip sandwich or bbq beef back ribs from either Bandera or Houston's.

Pizza at Casa Bianca pizza or Al Gelato.

Ribs from Phillip's in Leimert park.

Mashti Malone's for the exotic persian ice creams (they even have some great butter pecan and green tea).

Burgers at the pan or pie n burger. and great pies at both these places, esp. the coconut cream pie or pumpkin cream at the pan and the fresh peach w/ whipped cream at pie n' burger.

fanta sea grill for some nice grilled fish or the creole shrimp stew in pasadena.

fried chicken and all the fixin's at Flossie's in Torrance.

Breakfast onlys at Campanile, great pastries here.

Philly cheesteaks, hoagies, and TastyKakes at Philly West.

Egg salad sandwich at europane.

sundaes from Fair Oaks Pharmacy.

Best Szechuan chili and seafoor for their great deep-fried golden lobster and lamb dishes and tiny cold appetizers.

i could keep on going what's yours???
