I'm hoping someone can help me here...I've read a few of the posts that are semi-related to this topic and it seemed as though people had some great advice to offer.
I am recently engaged (yay) and need to plan a kosher wedding. I don't have a very large budget I think total including everything (band, flowers, wedding dress, venue, food etc) we can spend about $60,000....which I think is quite a lot of money but by NYC standards I know, is not a lot. I don't need/want to have a crazy extravagent wedding, but my fiance and I do want black tie seated dinner. He and I are foodies and he is wine obsessed so the menu planning will be a headache for sure.
We would like to have the ceremony and reception in the same venue. I was thinking of The Pierre, or The St Regis, or Tribeca Rooftop, Bridgewaters, Boathouse at Central Park, The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers...something along those lines....though I think they may be a bit beyond our price range....does anyone have any experience with those places???
I'm thinking for food and venue we can't really spend more than $40,000.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a kosher wedding in manhattan??? We can't really afford more than $200 per person for food and venue.....
Any help would be so greatly appreciated.
Many many thanks!
