Just opened last week, on Sunset next to that micro-brewery place called "Good". Curious to see what other people think.
We had a good time there - it is a small, comfortable room with a good atmosphere. The staff was very friendly (well, they just opened...) especially the big black sushi chef Gary. We sat at the bar and he kept serving us tasty specialties which were unusual but not weird. They use non-traditional ingredients (mango, macadamia nuts) but not to overwhelm. There was a roll with smoked shrimp in it that was really amazing. And Asahi on tap!
The fish was good but not top quality - the plain nigiri sushi was not as impressive. Also a breaker kept blowing out every ten minutes and half the lights would go out. I hope they got that figured out...
