King Street-Alexandria, Mall-DC, Occoquan with food allergies

Having food allergies (soy, white potato, sesame and tree nuts) means finding restaurants to eat in, is always a little challenging. I will be in the DC area next week and am looking for restaurants with kitchens that use fresh ingredients and would be able to handle this. We are meeting others and would like to know in advance if a restaurant is a good choice.

We are staying on King Street in Alexandria and need places to get breakfast and lunch. Based on what I have read I was thinking of The Majestic on Friday night for dinner; has anyone had experience ordering there with food allergies?

We will be doing museums near the Mall on Saturday, so we will be dressed casually and were hoping to have an early dinner, to allow an evening sightseeing tour. Founding Farmers seemed safe for ordering but may be too busy on a Saturday to get out on time. The reviews on the service have been questionable. Any other suggestions?

My son lives near Occoquan, we will be there Sunday and I am really lost for ideas near there. It will be Mother’s Day and buffet style brunches are tough for me to navigate. Any suggestions for the area?

Any help is greatly appreciated - Thank you!
