My girlfriend and I decided to try Kinara in Park Slope last night for the first time. The place was nearly empty when we arrived around 8pm, but decided to check it out anyway.
We ordered Chicken Vindaloo, Eggplant Bhartha, and two plain buttered naan breads.
The Chicken Vindaloo was spicy, but not scorching hot, and was quite tastey. The sauce was a bit creamy, but not greasy or oily at all. There were quite a few large chunks of succulent/tender chicken in the delicious sauce.
The Eggplant Bhartha was also really good. Smokey, but not burnt like some restaurant's version of this dish.
And the naans were served piping hot and fresh out of the tandoor. Which was very pleasing especially since the last few placed that I had naan at had served us cold, old almost stale naan.
I would definitely recommend this place.
