Kam Kuo closed... so now where to go for groceries in Chinatown?

Mar a | Jul 12, 2004 09:38 PM

I used to trek to Chinatown especially to shop at Kam Kuo. I always found it to have good prices and never had a problem with quality, and I even loved their cat. I haven't been in the neighborhood since I heard they were closing a while ago.

The only other grocery store I've tried in the neighborhood is the Chinese American Trading Co. (CA Trading, I think now they have another name) so I'm wondering where else I can go for Asian groceries.

I have places to go to for fresh produce and fish. What I'm looking for is a place to buy bottled / canned / frozen foods and condiments at a good price.

Thanks!
