I am convinced I must pay a visit to Jitlada after drooling over the super-detailed descriptions of everyone else's meals there.
I want to take my mom there, and our schedules are currently completely and totally wide-open. We can go on any day, at any hour.
But we live in the South Bay, and what I desperately want is a logistically smooth experience -- that is, keeping the driving traffic to as much a minimum as possible, not having trouble finding parking once we arrive, and not worrying about showing up after all this hassle to find that it's packed with people.
So aside from the obvious avoidance of rush-hour freeway traffic times (i.e., 4-8 p.m. on weekdays and often 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturdays), which rule out weekday dinners and Saturday lunches, what I'd like to hear from people who've been there is when the restaurant itself has the fewest customers.
I realize I can also just call in and make a reservation, but I would prefer to know beforehand when their general non-busy hours may be (if they even have any). My big fantasy is to be able to stroll in there after a long, sweaty drive and find hardly anybody inside. Is that just impossible these days because of Jitlada's popularity?
Thank you so much!
