Jim, I read your quote on Philley's Smoke House in today's City section in the New York Times.
Sorry to report that the McRib Sandwich that they have/had at McDonald's is much better than Philley's Smoke House's Brisket Sandwich (I can't speak about their pulled pork).
So, get on over there, and tell everyone who is interested how bad barbeque can really be when it is cooked by people who don't have the slightest clue at all about food. If you find any redeeming values in this place, with its current kitchen staff, I will spring for the meal.
As I would like Philly's and other restaurants to be good, the sooner everyone trashes this place, the more likely that they will get someone in the kitchen who knows what he/she is doing. This is especially true because they have made a huge investment in the place and no other restaurant is likely to open up in this location.
