I've got some guests coming in from out of town tomorrow night. I want to show them the best of NY's authentic ethnic eating; sounds like Queens is the place to go.
I don't care too much about decor or price (up to a point: Per Se and its ilk are not on the menu), just the food. Looking for yummy, unusual, authentic -- something that'll make an impression. Sripraphai is on my list. What else should be?
(Kebab Cafe would be on the list if it had better AC, as would the Oaxacan Tamale Lady on 46th and 5th.)
It doesn't have to be in Jackson Heights; that just seemed like a good starting point.
