Last week I ate @ Las Brasas a newish rest @ 78st + 37th Ave. They list themselves as a Spanish restaurant but it really is Argentine food. They of course have the parillada in the window. Had a nice Lomo(filet) steak (not cheap for Queens $23 if memory serves me well) and a chunk of Tortilla. If you love Spanish food you know how hard it is to get real Tortilla. Most places make a foo foo nouvelle type or worse an omelet. This is the real thing, though I wish it had less egg but who can argue. They have a decent empanada (they have meat, chicken and maybe fish). I think the best are down the block @ the 18th of July or the Argie place on 37th Ave and about 74th st on the N side of the Ave. They used to quick deep fry it for that extra flavor. Also had a nice bottle of Red from Penedes. I shall return...Thanks to Douglas MacArthur for the quote
