Just got back form a tip to Gold Country. We had dinner at Buscaglia's.
Their new building opened in January. It is on the back of the lot, behind the parking. We called for reservations at 5 pm and the restaurant was booked, so they reserved us a table in the lounge. When we got there the lounge was small and crowded, but there was enough room for us 4 to squeeze in. I don't think they rally have the "reservation for the lounge" thing figured out. The waitress in the lounge was busy and great. our kids had ravioli and we had some nice Cannaloni. The focaccia bread served with the meal was nice. We liked the house wines we had (Merlot and Cab). The wine list looks fine. The tiramisu and cheesecakes were good, too. Not an imaginitive menu, but good food, none the less. Looking at the lounge's patio in front, and the restaurant and its patio up in the back of the building, I can see that this might be a very nice place to have an early or late dinner later in the year when the evenings warm up a bit. We had a nice chat with two local couples in the lounge. Seems like the place is a long-time local favorite for many, even if the new building is a bit to get used to. Thanks to the Hounds that sent us to Buscaglia's.
