Will be visiting my folks in Ithaca, NY this weekend. I have long heard about, but never sampled, the famous "Cornell Chicken" served with salt-roasted potatoes at roadside roasteries in the Finger Lakes. Not to be confused with spiedies, this chicken is marinated in some sort of vinegar and egg (!) sauce and then slow-roasted. Jim's in Owego is supposed to be the best but I am wondering if anyone knows of a place in, or closer to, Ithaca, where I can score some quality fowl & taters.
Thanks in advance!
