Italian for birthday dinner - Obelisk, Maestro, or Galileo

I've read a bit on each in several postings and want to get some additional thoughts on the quality of the food. I was in particular struck by a comment made about Maestro made by a chowhound who insisted it not be classified as Italian. The description of it sounds quite good, if pricey, but as this chowhound put it, the quality is in the skill of the chef and not in the price.

Any further thoughts as to which one of these three (or other place altogether) would be aces for a wonderful and tasty birthday dinner for two.
