Tried this place for the first time last night. It's on Cooper St. two miles south of I-20 and loved it.
Had the meze plate, which included about eight items, and all were excellent. The "mixed eggplant", a grilled eggplant and tomato dish, was probably my favorite. Every item was absolutely fresh, and the chef has a great hand when it comes to balancing the levels of olive oil, vinegar, herbs and spices. Pita was just out of the oven fresh and quite delicious too. I got some falafel and grape leaves to go, and they proved excellent also. Baklava came with whipped cream and chocolate and raspberry sauces, and was utterly outstanding.
The decor is a cut above the basic; white tablecloths, wineglasses on the tables. The room is pretty but understated, and full of light. Prices are not rock bottom cheap, but are very moderate and extremely reasonable for the quality of the food.
