ISO ethnic gems Anaheim, Tustin, Costa Mesa, Santa Ana

Spending a few days next week at the Anaheim Marriot while my wife attends a conference and would like to try some things not available to us up here in the central San Joaquin Valley, high on the list are:

tacos de suadero
pambazos de tinga (or in tacos or quesadillas)
xiao long bao

Looking for two lunches on my own (willing to drive to Irvine, Newport Beach if necessary) two dinners with Lady PB, and a lunch for the two of us on Sat. enroute to Laguna Beach.

I've searched this board back several archives and have a few ideas, would really appreciate any feedback from the local hounds:

Dinners: Wed. thinking Napa Rose just from all the glowing reviews and Fri at Jagerhaus (decent German food is a rarity in N. CA)

Lunch together Sat: SW Barbecue Seafood Restaurant or Ciao Mein in Irvine (leaning toward the former for the pork belly)

On my own running amok (that qualifies as exercise, right?) Th-Fri lunch:

- Tommy's Sushi in Tustin for fried shrimp heads & poke bowl
- El Chinaco - Salvadoran pupusas

also Fish Tacos (a Lady PB favorite) might trump the Sat. Asian lunch plans, or my Th-Fri for that matter:

Pepe's taco truck for Baja style - Santa Ana
Taco Mesa - Costa Mesa (?)
Los Cotijas Taco Shop - Tustin, or...

"the Mexican Restaurant by the Winchels doughnuts in Larwin Square" (Tustin)

anyone have a name/address/opinion?

Finally, xiao long bao.... am I dreaming?

TIA

Dave in Fresno
