ISO Dim Sum Item

There used to be a great Dim Sum place on Eglinton Ave, just west of Avenue Rd on the north side. Closed in the mid 90's... anyone remember it?

They had this cart that would serve these yummy rolls - they were chinese long donut pieces wrapped with a fried egg and stuffed with green onion and hoisin sauce. Are there any Dim Sum places that currently serve this dish? The lady used to make it in front of you and it was scrumptious.

They also had fried rice cakes, which were elliptical 'cakes' maybe 3/8" thick... 1.5" long... white... made from ground rice flour I am guessing. I have seen these cakes in the freezer section of some asian markets. The dish they made was a stir fry of the cakes with bok choy and shredded pork, in a shiny, clear sauce.

If anyone can help me with where to find the rolls and any rice cake recipes - probably best on the 'home cooking' board, it would be much appreciated!

Thank you,

Shiro Miso
