Once upon a time I read a restaurant review where the author discussed a place that served chowan-mushi (japanese egg custard)steamed in little crab shells.
I thought it might have been the Jonathan Gold review of Kani Mura in Little Tokoyo, but after rereading it (http://www.laweekly.com/ink/05/03/cou...) I was wrong-- no chowan-mushi mentioned.
So...any ideas? Did I dream this up or can it be found in LA?
And on a related note, anyone tried Kani Mura?
