Indonesian/Dutch food festival "PASAR MALAM"- Sunday, June 8

If you like Asian food, this is one event not to be missed. This is the best in bay area for Indonesian food and reasonable pricing. Last time, they had many vendors selling different versions/variations of satays, authentic Indonesian dishes and set lunches such as beef rendangs, gudeg (stewed jackfruit), fish wrapped in leaf, diferent types of soups, numerous deserts and appetizers seldom seen such as kue lapis, kue mangkok, empe-empe, risoles, lempers. This will be held outside instead of indoors. My church will have a booth and will also sell lots of food - many excellent homecooks. Most likely, I will help out at my church booth-maybe as the coordinator. If so, I will ask one of the "experienced" hounds to be there for the others-maybe reserve a table for those who are interested in joining and share food. Peter Yee maybe ?? Sharing is a great way to enjoy many different things and save $$. I really suggest to arrive by 10 am to get the best stuff.
