I have a 46" 4 burner Dacor gas cooktop with a grill to the left side. The grill simply does not get hot enough to grill anything. It has an 11,000+ BTU output. At the time I bought it I was not as aware of BTU values as I am now. I see many of the host chefs on FoodTV grilling with aplomb on a cooktop and most of them are using a 5 Star cooktop, I believe. Does anyone have experience with a 5 Star cooktop grill? I see Ann Burrell, and several others grilling steaks, chicken etc with ease. Are these souped up versions of the residential models or what?
