Forget about what wines to bring to Il Grano and what their corkage fees are, this place doesn't deserve your bringing any quality wine because the food won't warrant matching to anything but diet Coke.
Heard and read about how marvelous the food was and I was anxious to try it out tonight. What a disappointment. Sashimi that's a little old doesn't set the mood for the rest of the menu degustazione. Maybe it's because the fish market isn't open on Saturday and so the fish is a day old....duh, then don't serve it, especially if it's on your showcase menu. And was this supposed to me an Italian restaurant? Then teach your kitchen how to cook pasta so at least it's close to al dente. The melange of seafood in their seafood soup rather than being properly married together in a lobster stock tasted as if someone had been cheating even before the wedding was over.
At least the ricotta cheese pudding was good....
But to highlight the evening the service sucked too.
My two cents....
