Identifying a fruit?

ChefBoyAreMe | Sep 27, 2010 06:17 AM

Can anyone help me identify a type of fruit I have never seen before?

Currently in Germany. I've twice now had it.

The fruit is a small, marble sized orange berry, on a woody stem, and surrounded by a papery skin much like a tomatillo (and the fruit itself is a bit sticky on the skin). The skin is a bit taut/snappy, with seeds, texture almost like a tiny tomato, including fairly tender seeds. delicious flavor..familiar, but not quite..a bit citrusy, both sweet and sour, a bit mango-y...

I've attached a picture. Anyone know?
