Ideas for Los Altos?

JurisDog | Dec 27, 2003 05:16 PM

I'm visiting the Palo Alto area and staying near the intersection of El Camino and San Antonio. I'd like to get good take-out tonight and probably for the better part of the next two weeks.

Any suggestions, favorites, recommendations?

So far I tried Chef Chus because it was on the corner and looked like a sleepy old-fashioned comfort food Chinese. I was a bit wrong on that - it wasn't so old fashioned, it wasn't sleepy (jam packed is more like it)and, at least for what I ordered, it wasn't that good. It has the best collection of "Famous People who ate here" pictures I've ever seen, though.

I also tried Bombay Cafe, around the corner on San Antonio. Very very nice service - friendly, accomodating, not smothering. I had the buffet and it was just okay, but I'll probably get something else from there one day.

What's the best Chinese near me? -- I don't really know where I am, but I don't want to travel far.

Thanks for any suggestions to help a hungry traveller, away from home (which is only LA, nothing too exciting).
